Quick Summary of the Rules for Garbage and Recycling

Garbage gets picked up early Monday and Thursday.  EARLY.   You can put your trash out AFTER SUNDOWN the night before but not any sooner than that.  This REALLY MEANS the night before, NOT several days in advance.

Recycling is FRIDAY ONLY.

If you use garbage cans and/or recycling containers, they must be taken back to your premises the same day the collection occurs.  Don’t leave them at the curb or blowing around the parking lot.

Trash cans and recycling containers (or bags of garbage) may NOT be stored in front of or beside your townhouse before being put out to the curb for collection.  Keep them in your yard.

YOU OWN IT UNTIL THE TRASH COLLECTORS TAKE IT. If they DON'T take it, it is YOUR responsibility to find out how to properly dispose of it. (Like paint cans or large items). If cluster members leave trash that is not taken, the board will take steps to find out who is responsible and have them remove the items some other way.

Trash/garbage goes in plastic trash bags, which have to be sealed.

Cat litter must be in sealed bags.

If trash collection falls on the following Holidays, trash will be removed on the next scheduled collection day:  Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.
